PRIO makes its presence known on Rio’s cultural scene by sponsoring exhibitions of Banksy and Frida Kahlo
PRIO (formerly PetroRio), the largest independent oil company in Brazil, announces its sponsorship of two major exhibitions in Rio de Janeiro: “Frida Kahlo: The Immersive Biography” and “The Art of Banksy – Without Limits.”
The largest immersive exhibition of Frida Kahlo, which has already toured Europe and the United States, has just made its debut at the Army Historical Museum and Fort Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro. Through collections of historical photographs, original movies, digital environments, artistic installations, collector’s items, and original music, the audience is invited to delve into the most relevant moments in the Mexican artist’s life and the ideals that make her work reverberate still today.
An exhibition of the works of the world’s greatest street artist today is coming soon to Shopping VillageMall, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits” offers the audience a chance to immerse into the universe of the popular artist, whose true identity remains unknown. Banksy is an artist who loves to provoke, shock, and even disturb society. He achieves this through poetry, energy, humor, and an unnerving ability to penetrate to the heart of each issue he addresses.
“We are very proud to sponsor these projects. These are sensorial, interactive, and innovative experiences through the works of these unparalleled artists, exponents of the contemporary world, with all their historical and biographical context,” says Gabriel Hackme, manager of Incentive Projects and Sponsorships at PRIO.
