The initiative by the largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil foresees investments of R$ 35 million in projects that promote culture, sports, and education

Rio de Janeiro, March 12, 2024 – A true declaration of love from PRIO to Rio. This is the inspiration that breathes life into the manifesto launched by the largest independent oil and gas company in Brazil for its home city, in the month in which Rio de Janeiro celebrates its 459th anniversary. With signing of the I?PRIO Manifesto, the sponsorship platform is expected to support dozens of projects, with investments of around R$ 35 million throughout 2024, fostering the brand in promoting a broad-based social legacy, by encouraging culture, sports, and education.

To give greater visibility to this ongoing investment movement, PRIO is preparing a number of activations, including the launch of two social media profiles dedicated to the I?PRIO movement on Instagram and TikTok.  “PRIO is a current, efficient, and disruptive brand, open to discussing the future and committed to giving back to society. The I?PRIO manifesto reflects our passion for the city in which we were born and for the initiatives we support and believe are capable of making a difference. We started investing in sponsorships in 2017, through Instituto Reação. Since then, we have built a history of continuous investments in social transformation projects through sports and culture, growing exponentially year after year,” highlights Olivia Richardson, Head of Marketing & Communications at PRIO.

In the first quarter of 2024, PRIO became the main partner of Instituto Vini Jr, dedicated to promoting education involving public schools in different regions of Brazil. It also announced the sponsorship of Rio native Nicolas Costa and United Autosports, who together represent the McLaren team in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), one of the foremost championships in world motorsports. On the cultural scene, several major premieres mark the beginning of the campaign: the arrival of the Mundo Zira exhibition, bringing together cartoonist Ziraldo’s rich collection starting March 6th at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (RJ); in addition to the special programming for women’s month at the I?PRIO Theater, marked by the debut of the play by Fernanda Montenegro inspired by the book “La Cérémonie des adieux” (published in English as “A Farewell to Sartre”) by French thinker Simone de Beauvoir.

The sponsorship calendar also features many high-impact actions, such as the I?PRIO Winter Festival; the I?PRIO Blues&Jazz Festival; The I?PRIO Humor Awards; Fronteiras do Pensamento; in addition to several other ongoing investment projects, such as the I?PRIO Theater; as well as projects such as ‘Instituto Reação’, ‘Todos na Luta,’ ‘Favela Brass,’ ‘Dona de Si,’ ‘Sem Barreiras,’ and ‘Rede Cruzada.’

Of all the cities in the world, PRIO was born precisely in Rio

What a privilege.

No city gets the nickname “marvelous” for nothing.

And as much as some say the sobriquet is ironic, we find it ironic that there are people who think like that.

Because Rio is that and much more. Much more.

It is an inspiration for anyone who wants to create.

A vacation for those who want to rest.

It’s a rhythm that no Ash Wednesday can stop.

It’s more than having a zip code.

It’s a personality.

It is a city that offers so much.

And do you know what it gets in return?

Here’s the real irony.

Rio can receive much more.

That’s why the I PRIO platform was born.

A way to give Rio de Janeiro and the locals a little of what the city gives us every day.

It’s a declaration of love.

But it’s a declaration that goes far beyond the text.

Investment in sports.

It’s about transforming the lives of those Cariocas with fewer opportunities.

It’s bringing culture to a city that inspires.

It means supporting sustainable projects that impact the entire state.

It’s sustainability; it’s culture; it’s transformation; it’s sports.

And it takes a lot of efficiency to make all this happen.

I ? PRIO is a commitment to our city.
