Unstoppable parking spaces: PRIO launches campaign to paint parking spaces for people with disabilities in Rio de Janeiro
PRIO has launched a campaign in Rio de Janeiro to support Paralympic athletes and highlight the importance of accessibility. With this initiative, PRIO revitalized and decorated seven parking spaces designated for people with disabilities in the parking lot of Shopping Leblon, the Jockey Club and its headquarters, in Praia de Botafogo, in addition to parking spaces on public roads in Leblon and Leme.
Each parking place features a special paint job that pays tribute to the seven Team PRIO Paralympic athletes who competed in Paris. The campaign, titled Unstoppable Parking Places, includes a QR Code on each painting, allowing the public to send messages of support directly to the athletes sponsored by the company.
“We want to give visibility to the incredible work done by these athletes in a light, disruptive, and positive way, creating a network of support and cheering, while also drawing attention to the respect for these exclusive parking places,” highlights Olivia Richardson, Marketing and Communication Manager at PRIO.
The Unstoppable Parking Places campaign is inspired by “The Mind is Unstoppable”, a campaign launched by PRIO in 2023, whose animated short film created by Monkey-land was one of the nominees for the Cannes award in 2024. By uniting art and accessibility, PRIO stresses its commitment to inclusion and support for Paralympic sport.
