Reação Offshore arrives in Vitória with 60 vacancies for people in socially vulnerable situations to be trained for on-board work

Sponsored by PRIO, the free program opens registration for non-technical classes in partnership with local social projects; aid reaches R$ 2,100

Espírito Santo, June 11 – Reação Offshore, a course that trains professionals free of charge for the offshore market, is holding its 3rd edition in 2024, and for the first time, will open a class outside the state of Rio de Janeiro. Sponsored by PRIO, the country’s largest independent oil and gas company, the program will offer 60 vacancies to socially vulnerable people in Vitória, Espírito Santo. To participate, those interested must be up to date with CadÚnico (Single Registration for Social Programs of the Federal Government developed for low-income families in Brazil), have completed high school, and be over 18 years old.

Between June 13 and 15, those responsible for the course will visit 6 communities in the state of Espírito Santo to answer questions and register on site. In addition, interested people who fit the profile can apply remotely on this website by 08/02/2024.

Together with the regional supporters of the Reação Offshore program, the sites visited will be: Consolação Community and Jesus de Nazaré (day 13); Morro da Garrafa and Guricica Community (day 14); and Itararé and Bonfim Communities (day 15).

Reação Offshore is the result of a partnership between Todos na Luta, Instituto Reação, and Firjan SENAI, sponsored by PRIO, and aims to train professionals for the offshore market, training operators with technical and social and emotional knowledge for the oil and gas segment, contributing not only to the growth of the sector but also to the inclusion of qualified labor in the market.

PRIO will also monitor local publicity for the course. Attentive to the training of new professionals by Reação Offshore , the oil company has already hired more than 90 professionals, representing almost 1/3 of the 300 students trained.

After registering, those interested will take an online test, and those who qualify will take an in-person test at SENAI in Vitória, where they will receive the final result of the selection process. The classes will take place at SENAI Vitória and are scheduled to begin in mid-October. The course lasts 3 months and has 160 hours of training, with classes five times a week, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and social and emotional classes on some Saturdays. Throughout the course, the students will receive aid of R$ 700 per month, totaling R$ 2,100 to support themselves, as well as free classes at SENAI with a certificate and social and emotional subjects.
