PRIO renews contract with Nicolas Costa and returns to the track in the Porsche Endurance Series
Rio de Janeiro, August 17, 2022 – PRIO (B3: PRIO3 – formerly PetroRio), Brazil’s largest independent oil and gas company and a pioneer in recovering and increasing the useful life of mature fields, announces the renewal of its exclusive sponsorship with Porsche Endurance Series driver Nicolas Costa. The company also sponsors, once again, the car used in the races, which, this season, is a 992 model. In total, the amount invested is R$ 837 thousand.
The debut of the PRIO Racing team took place last Sunday (14), at the Termas do Rio Hondo racetrack, in Argentina. In this race, the team achieved fourth place, and is already preparing for the next two races on the calendar: October 16, in Goiânia, and December 3, in São Paulo.
“The Porsche Endurance Series has everything to do with PRIO, because it can tangibilize some of our values, such as agility and boldness, always in search of great results. Besides, it is a competition where the best drivers in Brazil are. But, most importantly, it is a great example of teamwork. In this category there are two drivers and, this year, Nicolas Costa will race together with the driver Jeff Giassi”, says Daniel Brito, head of Branding at PRIO.
The new design of the car was created by PRIO itself. With references to pop art and comic books, it brings elements of the company, such as the Octopus, the name of one of the company’s oil fields. The project is being executed by Reunion Sports Marketing. The partnership with Nicolas Costa also involves encouraging the development of a new team for this sport, the participation of PRIO employees in the stages, including fast laps, as well as the interaction of the pilot and the encouragement of the sport for the entire company, always talking about safety.
The races are broadcasted by Band, Sportv, and the competition’s official YouTube channel.
